We’re hiring an Auto Service Advisor! We’d love to have a friendly and knowledgable face greet our customers each day! – S.A. Industries offers maintenance and mechanical services on passenger vehicles, vocational trucks and equipment. We are seeking a professional, friendly, skilled Service Advisor to add to our team.

Duties:

• Accurately identifying and verifying a customer’s needs, and providing professional, courteous, and positive customer service.
• Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to customer’s description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems.
• Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor.
• Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer’s approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns.
• Order necessary parts from suppliers and double-check that they are delivered to technicians.
• Ensure that automotive work provided to customers meets company quality standards.
• Invoice and collect payment from customers for services rendered.
• Maintain customer records and enter data into computer databases.
• Maintain records of purchases and incoming payments (Quickbooks knowledge is an asset).

Required Skills:

• Working knowledge and experience of automotive products, repairs and parts.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate customer needs to workable technician orders.
• Strong customer service and outgoing demeanor.
• Basic knowledge of computer programs including calendars, word processing and database tools (Quickbooks knowledge is a definite asset).
• Organizational skills including the ability to schedule appointments, enter purchases/sales in a timely manner, and ensure that work is done properly.
• Exceptional customer service skills based on experience.
• Ability to communicate complicated automotive processes to customers who may only have basic automotive knowledge.
